Now into July, we’re in the heart of the summer transfer window, and it could well be the month where we see the bulk of Wrexham’s transfer business conducted.
Wrexham are eyeing up a busy summer transfer window in preparation for the 2025/26 Championship season.
Phil Parkinson has set his sights on some top players but so far, Wrexham have signed Ryan Hardie, and are awaiting their next summer signing.
There’s no shortage of players linked with a move to Wrexham this summer. But right now it all seems a bit hush hush at the Racecourse.
But there’s enough rumours and speculation to predict which players may well be arriving at Wrexham in July…

Three players who Wrexham could be set to sign in July
Danny Ward
Danny Ward looks set to arrive at the Racecourse in the very near future. The former Liverpool goalkeeper is a free agent after leaving Leicester City this summer, and reports have revealed that Ward is set to undergo a medical at Wrexham.
He’ll arrive as a back-up option to Arthur Okonkwo. The 32-year-old, Wrexham-born goalkeeper will bring a wealth of experience to the club, offering Parkinson a reliable no.2 to call upon should Okonkwo not be available.
Ward has 44 caps for Wales in his career, having started his career with Wrexham way back in 2007.
Tom Lawrence
Midfield is an area where Parkinson seems particularly keen to strengthen this summer. But so far the Dragons have had a few setbacks in their search for some new names for their engine room.
Wrexham now look unlikely to sign Lewis O’Brien who Nottingham Forest are now valuing at £8million. Meanwhile, Tom Cairney looks set to stay at Fulham despite having had a contract offer from Wrexham this summer.
Tom Lawrence is another linked. It’s been speculated of late that Wrexham are in talks to sign Lawrence, although no official reports have put the Wrexham-born midfielder close to a move home.
Likely having plenty of options, Lawrence could simply be weighing them up. But a return to Wrexham and with a new-look and exciting team could prove enticing for the former Welsh international.

Patrick Bamford
This summer, expect Wrexham to sign at least one proven Championship striker. Parkinson is keen to sign experienced players this summer and for the striker position, none might be better-suited for the Dragons than Patrick Bamford at Leeds United.
Wrexham wanted to sign Bamford on loan last January. Following Leeds’ promotion, Bamford now looks set to fall well down the pecking order, and it could mean that he’ll be on the move.
Bamford has hinted at leaving Leeds United already this summer. But where he might end up remains to be seen with the one-time former England striker having said that he’d be open to an MLS move.
With Wrexham tipped to miss out on Joe Gelhardt at Leeds, and as Leeds push on with new signings having already signed one new striker this summer, Bamford to Wrexham could really pick up speed in the coming weeks.
