Wrexham are preparing for Saturday’s clash with Cambridge United but the January transfer window is inching closer and closer.
Wrexham return to League One action this weekend as Cambridge United become the latest visitors to the STōK Cae Ras.
Phil Parkinson’s home record at Wrexham is astonishing and just two points have been dropped at the STōK Cae Ras this season.
Cambridge have been struggling in League One and Wrexham will look to take advantage with another home win.
Parkinson will be looking to get through the festive period with no drama and then look ahead to the January transfer window.
Shaun Harvey has confirmed Wrexham can spend in January and Parkinson will hope for key additions to aid Wrexham’s promotion hopes.

Wrexham should eye Millwall raid
Another striker may be on the radar with recent signing Jon Dadi Bodvarsson only contacted until January.
Reports over the summer suggested that Wrexham were keen on Millwall’s Tom Bradshaw but no deal materialised.
Bradshaw may still be on the Wrexham radar and developments at Millwall should tempt Wrexham into a move.
The Lions find themselves without a manager after club legend Neil Harris announced his shock resignation this week.
Harris only returned to Millwall earlier in 2024 but has decided to walk away – despite sitting in midtable in the Championship.
Harris becomes the third Millwall manager to go since the start of the 2023-24 season, following on from Gary Rowett and Joe Edwards.
That instability in the dugout may leave a player like Bradshaw considering his future – especially as he is out of contract this summer.
Wrexham can offer stability with boss Parkinson going nowhere any time soon and the club looking to go from strength to strength.
The second half of the season could be tricky for Bradshaw; a new manager may not fancy him, or may simply feel that it’s time to say goodbye when his contract ends.
That uncertainty is something Wrexham can focus on by offering him a January move and offering security for the foreseeable future – which could appeal to the Shrewsbury-born striker.
Tom Bradshaw fits Wrexham rumour
Reports in November suggested that McElhenney and Reynolds are ready to sign a new striker.
The idea is to bring in a striker with Championship goalscoring experience to help Wrexham win promotion out of League One.
Bradshaw fits the bill; this is his ninth successive season at Championship level and he smashed 17 goals in the 2022-23 campaign.
The 32-year-old may not be at the peak of his powers right now, having scored just four times last season and recently come back from a significant injury.
Bradshaw has enjoyed real highs in the Championship though and if it’s an experienced Championship forward on Wrexham’s radar, Bradshaw’s name will be near the top of the list.
