Wrexham have made a steady start to the summer transfer window but fans will expect more ahead of the Championship campaign.
Phil Parkinson’s summer recruitment began as Wrexham signed Ryan Hardie from Plymouth after reigniting their interest in the striker from the January window.
Wrexham confirmed the capture of Danny Ward following his release from Leicester City and the goalkeeper returns to the Racecourse Ground after leaving the club for Liverpool in 2012.
Parkinson has ‘shocked’ figures at the club with the signing of Ward but the manager knows what he wants in his Wrexham squad next season and his business is just getting started…

Three likely Wrexham signings to follow Danny Ward
Wrexham face Southampton in their Championship season opener and Parkinson’s men could not have been handed a tougher start to life in the second tier.
The players are back in training and set to jet off to Australia as part of those preparations for the upcoming campaign and the manager will want as many of his new signings to be part of that trip.
Wrexham Insider takes a look at the three most realistic names through the door at the club following the captures of Ward and Hardie so far.
Stuart Armstrong
Shaun Harvey predicted Wrexham would sign free agents and after Ward, Stuart Armstrong is likely to be the next on the club’s list.
Wrexham have a ‘very good chance’ at signing Armstrong after having held talks with the player following his departure from Sheffield Wednesday.
Central midfield is a priority for Parkinson this summer and Armstrong fits the bill with his ability to drop deep or play in an advanced role with his excellent range of passing.
Armstrong would be a ‘wonderful’ addition to the Red Dragons according to Celtic expert Callum Boyle and the Scotland international could soon be strutting his stuff in North Wales.
Tom Lawrence
Another player available on a free transfer, Tom Lawrence would be the second Welsh international to join the Red Dragons in this transfer window.
Lawrence is keen on a move to Wrexham after ending his time in the Scottish Premiership with Rangers and his style of play and experience would suit Parkinson.
Coventry are also interested in Lawrence but given his Welsh connection, the Red Dragons will be confident they can lure him.
His creativity and eye for goal are attributes that Wrexham have lacked in their squad over the last couple of seasons.
Owen Beck
Wrexham are interested in Owen Beck and the Liverpool youngster impressed during a spell with Championship rivals Blackburn last season.
Liverpool want a loan deal for Beck having offered the 22-year-old a new contract at Anfield. It is thought Arne Slot is keen to monitor his development despite the recent signing of Milos Kerkez.
Rangers are rivalling Wrexham for Beck but the Scottish giants want a permanent move, given Wrexham’s proximity to Liverpool, they may have the advantage in this one.
