A recent Wrexham signing has now explained why he decided to join the club this summer.

Wrexham have, and still are, undergoing a complete squad overhaul during the 2025 summer transfer window.

With the deadline fast approaching, the Dragons want to sign Jordan James in a £4.3m move.

As well as the ex-Birmingham City ace, Will Smallbone is a Wrexham target during the final week of the window.

There could be exits as well, with the likes of Ollie Palmer and Jack Marriott potentially leaving by September 1.

Now, one recent signing has explained why he decided to move to North Wales this summer.

Summer signing explains Wrexham transfer

Earlier this month, Wrexham fended off competition to land Kieffer Moore in a £2m deal from Sheffield United.

Phil Parkinson was ‘delighted’ by Moore signing for the Dragons, and he is already a key figure in their frontline.

Now, the ex-Blade has been discussing his time in Wales so far and why he could not turn down the move.

He said, as per Leader Live: “I am loving it. It is an incredible club to be a part of and I have been loving every bit of it.

“I know what this club wants to achieve and we are all working hard to do that.

“It has been a monumental rise and this club has had incredible success.

“To now be a part of it is incredible. It was an opportunity I felt I couldn’t turn down.”

Kieffer Moore gives injury update

Moore scored twice for Wrexham over the weekend as the Welsh side drew 2-2 with Sheffield Wednesday.

However, just like the opening weekend against Southampton, he had a problem with his ankle.

Parkinson provided a Moore injury update ahead of Preston North End, while the player has also spoken out on his issue.

He said: “It’s not too bad. Obviously I am still struggling a little bit with the ankle and it is something I am working through.

“But I am not going to use it as an excuse.

“It is still there but it is something I am working to get better.”
