Wrexham allowed two players to join Peterborough United on transfer deadline day as Phil Parkinson shakes up his squad.
The summer transfer window closed on Monday night, with Wrexham adding three more signings to Phil Parkinson’s squad.
Ben Sheaf joined Wrexham on deadline day, completing a £6.5million switch from Coventry City on Monday afternoon.
Issa Kabore joined Wrexham on loan from Manchester City, before Dominic Hyam came in from Blackburn Rovers.
Wrexham also had to trim Parkinson’s squad, and two players moved on – to the same League One club.

Darren Ferguson on Thomas O’Connor deal
Jacob Mendy has joined Peterborough United on loan for the season, with the left wing-back heading back to League One after Wrexham’s promotion.
Mendy won’t be completely alone as he heads to Peterborough, though, as Wrexham teammate Thomas O’Connor has made the exact same move.
O’Connor joined Peterborough mere hours before Mendy made the move, with the defender also signing a season-long loan deal.
Reports last week suggested that O’Connor was considering his Wrexham future, following the capture of another left-sided defender in Callum Doyle.
O’Connor has now completed his move to the Posh and will play under a Wrexham hero in Darren Ferguson.
Ferguson has spoken about O’Connor’s move on Peterborough’s official website, praising the defender as a ‘proper winner’.
The Scot admitted that he ‘couldn’t turn it down’ when he heard O’Connor was available, and believes that his role in three straight Wrexham promotions sums up his quality.
“Tom has three promotions on the bounce with Wrexham, that tells me everything I need to know about him. He is a left-sided centre half, can play in a back three or a four,” said Ferguson.
“He can play in midfield, has a lovely left foot and is a proper winner. I couldn’t turn it down when I knew he was available. He really wanted to come to us, which again, given where we are in the table, shows that we can still attract good players,” he added.
Thomas O’Connor facing a very different battle at Peterborough United
O’Connor has the distinction of being a three-time promotion winner with Wrexham, and he has played a key role in the club’s rise.
The 26-year-old has gradually fallen out of Wrexham’s plans and may have to park any promotion hopes for a while.
O’Connor joins Peterborough with the club sitting bottom of the League One table, having taken just one point from the first six games.
The Posh have scored just two goals in those six games, while conceding 11 in a truly dismal start.
O’Connor will now look to help drag Peterborough away from trouble and back towards the top of the table, having enjoyed great success in League One with Wrexham last season.
