The January transfer window has now come to an end and Wrexham will hope that Phil Parkinson has the quality to achieve promotion.
Wrexham have ended the January transfer window with three new faces added to Phil Parkinson’s squad.
Ryan Longman joined Wrexham from Hull City, becoming Parkinson’s first addition of the month.
Wrexham wanted a striker heading into January and Parkinson actually ended up with two.
Reading’s Sam Smith completed a club-record move to Wrexham before Jay Rodriguez followed from Reading.
Deadline day passed with no more signings but Anthony Forde departed Wrexham as his contract was terminated by mutual consent.
Wrexham will hope that this January window helps secure another promotion, but promotion rivals were also busy on deadline day – let’s take a look at what they did on the final day of the window…

Birmingham City
The Blues sit top of the League One table and, to be quite frank, it’s difficult to see them moving.
Birmingham only struck one deal on deadline day, pouncing late to sign Ulsan HD left back Lee Myung-jae on a free transfer until the end of the season.
Lee was something of a hero at Ulsan HD, racking up more than 250 appearances before leaving for England.
The 31-year-old joins forces with fellow South Korean Paik Seung-ho and represents an experienced addition for Chris Davies.
Wycombe Wanderers
Wycombe lost Matt Bloomfield to Luton Town and confirmed their new manager on Sunday, appointing Mike Dodds as their new boss.
The Chairboys were busy on deadline day, racking up four signings to give Dodds a welcome boost as he takes charge.
Three players arrived on permanent deals – Portsmouth goalkeeper Will Norris, left-sided utility man Adam Reach and young Nottingham Forest right back Fin Back.
Wycombe even added a loan signing with former Chelsea youngster Xavier Simons joining from Hull City.
That deadline day spree adds depth to the Wycombe squad but arguably their biggest boost was keeping hold of both Joe Low and Richard Kone amid Championship interest.
Stockport County
Wrexham’s old promotion rivals from the National League and League Two days are back again, moving above Huddersfield Town an into fourth place over the weekend.
County were able to bring in three additions on deadline day as they look to built momentum in this promotion race.
England Under-20 international Brad Hills has joined on loan from Norwich City whilst target man Sam Cosgrove has arrived from Barnsley.
Stockport also secured the permanent signing of Portsmouth midfielder Owen Moxon, who was previously a star at Carlisle United.
Dave Challinor lost Louie Barry in this window but will be happy with three late additions to his promotion-chasing squad.
Huddersfield Town
The Terriers appeared to be entering the automatic promotion race but have now won just one of their last seven League One games, losing three in a row.
Michael Duff’s side are still in the mix but need to turn things around quickly.
There was just the one signing for Huddersfield on deadline day as Wolverhampton Wanderers talent Tawanda Chirewa arrived on loan.
Attacking midfielder Chirewa spent the first half of the season on loan at Derby County but struggled for game time.
Now heading to Huddersfield, the Zimbabwe international will hope to help Duff and co get back on tack after a tough run.
