Wrexham may look to sign another striker even after landing Ryan Hardie, but Danny Ings is one name to cross off the list.
Ryan Hardie enjoyed a superb first appearance in a Wrexham shirt, as he found the net in Friday’s win over Melbourne Victory.
Wrexham paid £700,000 to sign Hardie earlier this summer, luring the Scottish striker away from Plymouth Argyle.
Hardie found the net to put Wrexham 2-0 up against Melbourne Victory, and he will hope to score many, many more in the famous red Wrexham shirt.
Wrexham may still bring in another striker, though, especially with Steven Fletcher released and Paul Mullin completing a move to Wigan Athletic.

Wrexham target Danny Ings set for Middlesbrough
One man Wrexham were interested in signing earlier in the window is Danny Ings.
Ings was released by West Ham United earlier this summer and has been searching for a new club ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Wrexham spoke to Ings about a possible move to North Wales in an attempt to bolster Parkinson’s goalscoring options.
Watford also targeted a move for Ings, but the former Liverpool striker is now heading elsewhere in the Championship.
The Telegraph’s Luke Edwards reports that Ings is ‘on the verge’ of signing for Middlesbrough.
Boro are also chasing Wrexham target Callum Brittain and will hope to land both players this week.
Ings hasn’t played in the Championship for more than a decade now, but bagged 21 goals in 40 games during the 2013-14 season.
The former England international failed to hit his best form at West Ham United and will now look to get back on track with Boro.
Danny Ings could face Wrexham twice this season
Wrexham will now move on from Ings and look towards other targets, but Parkinson will also be mindful of facing him this season.
The Championship fixture list emerged last month, and Wrexham’s first game against Middlesbrough comes away from home on October 25.
The two sides then meet again on the final day of the season, with Middlesbrough and Ings visiting the STōK Cae Ras on May 2.
Ings is certainly a headline capture for Boro, and he will be hoping to inspire a promotion push under new boss Rob Edwards this season.
