Wrexham fans have been fully focused on the League One promotion race this season, but may have had a soft spot for Dundee United.
The League One season now has just two games to go and Wrexham are in the box seat for promotion.
Wrexham beat Blackpool 2-1 on Monday afternoon, moving two points ahead of Wycombe Wanderers in the automatic promotion race.
Phil Parkinson has Wrexham in a great position to secure promotion and continue the incredible rise under Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.
Some 300 miles away, a couple of strikers with Wrexham connections have been teaming up to try and chase an incredible target of their own – European football.

Louis Moult to leave Dundee United
Even the most passionate of Wrexham fans will surely have a soft spot for another club far away from the STōK Cae Ras.
This season, we couldn’t blame anybody for taking extra interest in Dundee United.
Sam Dalby joined Dundee United on deadline day back in August, with Wrexham allowing the striker to leave on loan.
Dalby’s incredible goalscoring form in Scotland means Wrexham fans have been keeping an eye on Dundee United.
The presence of Louis Moult certainly helps, too, with the former Wrexham hero already at Tannadice.
Moult became a Wrexham favourite after joining from Nuneaton Town in 2014, smashing 23 goals in 51 games.
Wrexham fans were only treated to one year of Moult, as he was quickly whisked off to Motherwell, where the goals continued to flow.
Now 32, Moult still returns to watch Wrexham according to Dalby, but the striker must now find a new club.
Dundee United boss Jim Goodwin has confirmed to The Courier that Moult will be leaving Tannadice when his contract ends this summer.
Moult has taken to social media to admit that he has loved his time at Dundee United, and wants to finish the season strongly.
Dundee United to focus on Sam Dalby
You would be hard-pressed to find any fanbase from Moult’s career history who don’t love him.
Moult has not only been a brilliant striker but also a fantastic personality, always taking time for fans and trying to positively impact the community.
Wrexham fans will always have time for Moult, but as he prepares to depart Dundee United, Goodwin will turn his focus to Dalby.
Dalby has smashed 14 goals in 30 league games for Dundee United this season and his Wrexham deal ends this summer.
Wrexham have offered Dalby a new contract, though we would make it unlikely that he actually signs.
Dalby has been named in the Team of the Year in the Scottish Premiership, with Goodwin urging Dundee United to sign Dalby permanently.
Dalby’s stock has never been higher and Dundee United will be desperate to make sure one half of their former Wrexham tandem is at Tannadice next season.
