Wrexham are expected to have a busy summer transfer Deadline Day, which could include players leaving.

Going into September 1, Wrexham have snapped up 10 signings this summer.

However, more deals are expected to be completed before the 7pm deadline on Monday.

The Dragons are close to signing Ben Sheaf from Coventry City, with a fee of £6.5m being mooted.

Wrexham like Zak Vyner of Bristol City as well, but have seen bids rejected for the Championship ace.

Elsewhere, despite already landing Callum Doyle this summer, the Welsh side are allegedly still keen on Jack Robinson.

Meanwhile, given their inflated squad, it is expected that several players will leave on deadline day.

Aaron James could leave Wrexham

One of those is rising star Aaron James, who is not expected to see much game time in the Championship.

The centre-back has impressed since breaking into the senior side last season.

Phil Parkinson said James was ‘immense’ after a performance in the EFL Trophy vs Port Vale during 2024/25.

Now, journalist Pete O’Rourke has reported that the defender has been offered the chance to go out on loan.

He wrote: “Falkirk have made an approach for Wrexham defender Aaron James on loan.”

Born in Chester, the 20-year-old has been part of Wrexham’s youth set-up for several years now.

James endured a difficult loan spell with Warrington in the second half of last season, which saw the North West outfit suffer relegation.

For Wrexham, he has so far made eight senior appearances, scoring one goal.

In 2025/26, the stopper started in the 3-3 Carabao Cup clash against Hull City.

But he has not featured in the Championship and was left on the bench against Preston North End in the second round of the cup competition.
