Ollie Palmer has received a lot of transfer interest during the summer after falling out of favour at Wrexham.
Phil Parkinson explained why he axed Ollie Palmer from the Wrexham squad in the middle of the 2024/25 season.
The striker did not play a league fixture after January 28, missing out on the club’s latest promotion run-in.
He did make a return to the squad during their 2025 pre-season, while Palmer won an award for his heroics in the first round of the Carabao Cup versus Hull City when he scored a brace.
However, the 33-year-old is now on his way out of Wrexham after three and a half years.
Palmer is joining Swindon Town in League Two, but he had plenty of interest from elsewhere.

How many teams made offers for Ollie Palmer
The Wrexham Insider revealed earlier this summer that MK Dons and AFC Wimbledon had looked at Palmer.
Sheffield Wednesday were thought to have an interest in the striker as well, while a move to Dorking Wanderers was ruled out.
Now, just how many teams tried to sign the Englishman this summer has been shared.
Rob Ryan Red’s X/Twitter account, which is run by journalists Nathan Salt and Rich Fay, shed some light on the matter.
And they revealed there were about 10 offers from clubs in the third and fourth tiers of English football, as well as Dorking being keen.
They wrote: “About 10 offers across L1/L2 which eventually ruled out a move to Dorking, who were keen. He’s chosen Swindon. Good move for all parties.”
When will Wrexham fans see Ollie Palmer play
Swindon are currently playing their football in League Two, meaning Palmer will not play against Wrexham in the league this season.
There is always a chance Wrexham meet them in the FA Cup later this year, though the chances of that happening are slim.
Swindon will play their next league fixture on Saturday, August 30, at 12:30pm.
Depending on when Palmer is registered, he could feature in that fixture, but if not, he will probably make his debut on Tuesday, September 2.
