Wrexham are pushing to seal the signing of Nathan Broadhead, but may have another Welsh international forward heading to the STōK Cae Ras.

Wrexham recently went on quite the transfer spree, securing four new signings in the space of a week.

Liberato Cacace, George Thomason, Josh Windass and Lewis O’Brien arrived as Phil Parkinson secured four major additions.

Anybody who thought that Wrexham would slow down in the market has been proven very wrong; in fact, Parkinson is ramping up the spending.

Wrexham are closing in on Nathan Broadhead, with the Ipswich Town attacker expected to arrive in an enormous £7.5million swoop.

Wrexham also fancy Juan Portilla from Talleres, while Leicester City defender Conor Coady is also on Parkinson’s wish list.

Wrexham close in on Kieffer Moore

Parkinson has been chasing another striking addition, even after snapping up Windass and Ryan Hardie this summer.

A target man appears to be the focus, though long-term target Michael Smith recently signed for Preston North End.

Parkinson’s attention seems to have shifted elsewhere, with Wrexham targeting Sheffield United’s Kieffer Moore.

Blades boss Ruben Selles was coy on Moore’s future last week, failing to rule out an exit after leaving the striker as an unused substitute against Chesterfield.

The Sun’s Alan Nixon now claims that Wrexham have agreed a fee with Sheffield United for Moore’s signature.

Moore is also believed to have provisionally agreed personal terms with Wrexham, and a deal will allegedly be done in the next 48 hours.

Sheffield United ideally wanted to keep Moore, but will reluctantly allow him to join Wrexham with his ‘big wages’ being moved on.

It’s unclear just how much Wrexham are paying for Moore, but Parkinson is landing a proven and experienced target man at League One level.

Wrexham strikers surely set to leave

Moore’s imminent arrival hands Parkinson another goalscoring boost ahead of the new Championship season.

The 6ft 5in striker is a proven threat at this level, and Wrexham’s desire to get the ball into the box should suit Moore well.

The deal will surely lead to some departures, though, and our first thoughts go towards Ollie Palmer.

Palmer has been Wrexham’s star target man since his 2022 arrival from AFC Wimbledon, but his playing time has diminished in 2025.

An exit seems likely for Palmer, especially with Parkinson now adding another giant striker to his ranks.

Modou Faal will also be impacted, with the Gambian struggling for playing time in League One last season.

It’s difficult to see Faal playing regularly in the Championship, and a loan move would be ideal for his development right now.

Jake Bickerstaff could join Cheltenham Town, with Wrexham surely set to reshuffle Parkinson’s attack after three striking additions this summer.
