Wrexham are looking to strike more incoming business on deadline day, but Phil Parkinson will also look to move players out of the club.

Deadline day is upon us, and Wrexham could be busy in the final hours of the window.

Coventry City captain Ben Sheaf is expected to join Wrexham in a £6.5million move, with a medical arranged for today.

Wrexham are also closing in on Issa Kabore, and the Manchester City right wing-back is expected to arrive on loan.

Wrexham’s chase of Zak Vyner may result in disappointment, though, as Bristol City stand firm on the defender’s future.

Burton Albion target Wrexham’s George Evans

Departures are inevitable as well, with Peterborough United closing in on Thomas O’Connor ahead of the deadline.

Reporter Pete O’Rourke now claims that Burton Albion are in talks to snap up Wrexham midfielder George Evans.

Evans joined Wrexham on deadline day at the end of the summer 2023 transfer window, dropping into League Two to help the Wrexham rise.

The 30-year-old has struggled with injuries throughout his time at the STōK Cae Ras, starting just 22 league games.

Evans hasn’t officially gone down as a promotion-winner for last season’s efforts, having not played enough games.

The former Manchester City talent still played his part around the Wrexham squad, offering valuable experience throughout.

Evans hasn’t played a single minute of Wrexham’s Championship campaign and hasn’t even been in the matchday squad since the 2-1 defeat at Southampton.

Sheaf’s arrival would serve to push Evans further down the pecking order, and he may now leave Wrexham before the deadline.

George Evans could reunite with former Wrexham teammates at Burton Albion

Evans could become the latest Wrexham man to complete a move to Burton Albion.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Anthony Forde both joined the Brewers early in 2025, but left the club at the end of the season.

James Jones also signed for Burton Albion in January, while Wrexham wing-back Sebastian Revan is on loan with the Brewers this season.

Evans could add to the Wrexham flavour at Burton Albion, with Gary Bowyer’s side now hoping to rush through a deal before the window slams shut.
