Wrexham played host to Rotherham United in a League One meeting on March 8th.
Phil Parkinson’s men were looking to put an end to a concerning run of form at the Racecourse Ground when they kicked off at 3pm.
Wrexham’s home form was previously their biggest strength but prior to Saturday, they had failed to win any of their last four in Wales.
Rotherham United began the weekend 14th in League One, while the Red Dragons were looking to overtake Wycombe Wanderers and move into second.
When all was said and done, Wrexham beat Rotherham 1-0. Here are five things we learned from the Saturday afternoon fixture at the Racecourse.

Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer might not play for Wrexham again
Another game, another snub for Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer by Parkinson.
It’s now been seven games since either made an appearance in League One, with the latter completely omitted from every matchday squad and Mullin left on the bench in the one tie he was selected for recently.
Parkinson commented on Mullin and Palmer and their absences this week, explaining he has a lot of striker options to pick from.
But with four number nines clearly ahead of the duo and every game from now until the end of the season a must-win, there is a real chance neither will make another appearance in 2024/25.
George Evans makes his League One return
With George Dobson and Andy Cannon missing due to injury, Wrexham were very short of options in midfield.
In turn, George Evans was named of the bench against Rotherham despite having previously only played 105 minutes in the league this season.
Evans sent a message to Parkinson over his playing time earlier in the week and now looks to finally be back involved after impressing in the EFL Trophy this season.

Sebastian Revan shines again
At the start of 2025, it seemed very unlikely we would see much of Sebastian Revan in League One this year.
The wing-back had put in a number of questionable displays during the course of his first several months in Wales and it already looked like his signing was a mistake.
However, Revan’s improvement at Wrexham in the last month or so has been nothing short of remarkable.
He’s started the club’s last four league matches and has been superb, including another very good showing against Rotherham.
Wrexham need another attacking midfielder
It’s perhaps not something new to fans, but Saturday’s display, especially in the first 45 minutes, highlighted the need to sign another number 10.
Elliot Lee wasn’t at his best and in turn, Wrexham struggled to create much of note through the middle again.
This is ok when your wing-backs are producing amazing crosses all game but after a largely flat first 45, barring some quality from Revan, the Red Dragons could have done with having a better midfield option on the bench to come on.
Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez are beginning to click
Wrexham fans have hit out at Jay Rodriguez following his recent showings.
He, along with Smith, has replaced Mullin and Palmer as Parkinson’s new striking duo.
The pair, who only arrived on January 31st, haven’t set the world alight so far, but there were definite signs, including Smith’s goal in the 48th minute, that they are finally starting to click.
