Paul Mullin sends message to Wrexham fans
Wrexham just couldn’t find top form in this game and a fairly flat performance was not enough for all three points.
Parkinson threw Paul Mullin on around the hour mark but the Wrexham goalscoring hero couldn’t find the net.
Mullin has struggled in League One this season and still only has one league goal to his name as 2025 draws ever closer.
A goal against former club Cambridge would have been ideal for Mullin but it just wasn’t to be.
Mullin has now taken to social media to send a message to Wrexham fans as his season continues to frustrate.
Mullin stated ‘frustrating end to the afternoon’ with Cambridge snatching a point late on.
The striker added ‘I heard you. It means a lot’ as Wrexham fans continue to show support for Mullin despite his goalscoring struggles.

Cambridge were gutted to lose Mullin in 2021 and will be relieved to have avoided seeing him score on Saturday.
Ever since Rob McElhenney tempted Mullin to Wrexham, the Litherland-born forward has been a hero.
88 league goals in 122 games for Wrexham was a simply astonishing record as he fired Wrexham to back-to-back promotions.
This season has been a battle for Mullin though with his one league goal now almost two months ago.
Reports suggest that Wrexham are ready to spend on a new striker in January with promotion to the Championship the goal.
Mullin is already sat on the bench but may soon find that Wrexham bring in another goalscorer to try and win a third straight promotion.
It’s too early to suggest that Mullin is being phased out at Wrexham but fans will hope to see him hit the goal trail again soon – and will continue supporting him no matter what.
