Wrexham picked up a superb win over Norwich City on Saturday as loaned-out players experienced mixed fortunes.

The mood around Wrexham is a positive one after a superb 3-2 win over Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.

Phil Parkinson’s side roared back from 1-0 down at the break to sit 3-1 up by the hour mark, blowing the Canaries away early in the second half.

Paul Mullin

Wrexham hero Paul Mullin started for Wigan Athletic as they faced bitter rivals Bolton Wanderers.

This turned into a nightmare for the Latics, as they fell 4-0 down inside 50 minutes on derby day.

Mullin produced the one moment of major quality for Wigan, though, curling home a brilliant consolation.

Mullin has now hit three goals in his last six appearances for Wigan and appears to be really finding form.

Jake Bickerstaff

Striker Jake Bickerstaff joined Cheltenham Town on loan after impressing on trial, but the Wrexham loanee has endured a tricky start to the season.

Bickerstaff has yet to find the net in League Two, and played just 11 minutes off the bench as Cheltenham lost 3-0 to Oldham Athletic.

Cheltenham remain bottom of League Two and have now confirmed the sacking of manager Michael Flynn.

Bickerstaff will hope to impress the next Cheltenham manager and ultimately help the Robins pull away from danger.

Modou Faal

Wrexham sent Modou Faal to Port Vale for first-team experience, and he scored the winner on his debut against Blackpool in August.

The striker’s form has been a little up and down ever since, and Faal was substituted at half-time against Leyton Orient last week.

This week, Faal came off the bench to help Port Vale beat Mansfield Town 2-1, which featured an injury-time winner from Ronan Curtis.

Faal is still in and out of the Port Vale side, but will hope to start against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup this week.

Sebastian Revan

Burton Albion snapped up Sebastian Revan on loan, with the left wing-back slipping down Phil Parkinson’s pecking order at Wrexham.

Revan caught the eye early on at Burton and continues to start on a regular basis under Gary Bowyer.

The 22-year-old played the full 90 minutes on Saturday as Burton recorded a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw with Huddersfield Town.

Burton still sit at the bottom of the League One table, but Bowyer will hope that Saturday’s draw provides a springboard for improved results moving forward.

Callum Edwards

Youngster Callum Edwards headed on loan to Bala Town earlier in 2025 and is now featuring in the National League North with Southport.

Edwards has been in and out of the side so far and started on the bench against Peterborough Sports on Saturday.

The 19-year-old was left frustrated as adverse weather conditions forced the game to be abandoned in the second half.

Thomas O’Connor and Jacob Mendy

Peterborough United signed Thomas O’Connor and Jacob Mendy on deadline day, securing the Wrexham defenders on loan for the season.

O’Connor and Mendy helped Peterborough grab their first win of the season last week, beating Wycombe Wanderers 2-1.

The Posh were at it again on Saturday, beating Plymouth Argyle 1-0 as O’Connor and Mendy helped Darren Ferguson’s side keep a priceless clean sheet.

The win lifts Peterborough off the bottom of the League One table, with O’Connor and Mendy making a positive impact so far.
