Paul Mullin and Steven Fletcher bagged the goals for Wrexham which gave them the win against Blackpool on Boxing Day.
Wrexham gave fans a late Christmas present on the 26th, with Phil Parkinson’s side emerging 2-1 winners against Steve Bruce’s—but it wasn’t plain sailing.
On a foggy afternoon at the Stok Racecourse, it was Blackpool to strike first, adding an element of pathetic fallacy to the occasion.
Then Mullin grabbed one back with a corker that fans loved, and Fletcher secured the win with a penalty. It was a successful afternoon all around for the veteran forwards.
But whilst the strikers in Wales were thriving, another Red Dragons man was also on the scoresheet – only this time across the border in Scotland.

Sam Dalby scores the winner yet again for Dundee United
Out of the players Wrexham have sent on loan in the summer, it has to be Sam Dalby who is thriving most.
He scored once again on Boxing Day, the winner at St Johnstone, which put Dundee 2-1 up. It was a lovely header from Dalby who got across his man from six yards and dispatched past a helpless keeper.
Dalby can’t stop scoring and winning accolades. He’s now two goals clear as the Scottish Premiership’s top goalscorer, with nine goals in 15 games. Dalby has well surpassed his tally from Wrexham last season.

But with Dalby set to return in January to the Stok Racecourse – will the Red Dragons look to keep hold of him? Dalby may have other ideas.
Dalby wants to stay in the Scottish Premiership
The striker is loving life in Scotland with Dalby making it clear he wants to stay at Dundee past January.
Dundee United boss Jim Goodwin wants to keep Dalby but fears that he will be priced out of a move given the striker’s brilliant form.
Pundits have also been mightily impressed with Dalby, including Scottish legend James McFadden describes him as a ‘handful’.
Dalby’s Wrexham future will be decided in the coming weeks, no doubt. But it’s no secret that Dundee are absolutely desperate to acquire his services for longer than first intended.
