Wrexham striker Paul Mullin has been discussing his recent move to Wigan Athletic, which was confirmed in June.
Paul Mullin has become a club legend at Wrexham, scoring over 100 goals during his four seasons with the club.
However, Mullin was axed by Phil Parkinson for the final three months of the 2024/25 season, not featuring in a single league match.
With the forward still under contract at the Racecourse Ground until 2027, his future was up in the air going into the transfer window.
However, Mullin has now signed for Wigan Athletic on loan ahead of 2025/26 and has been discussing his move this week.

Paul Mullin thinks Wrexham leaked his transfer to Wigan Athletic
Mullin is not the only Wrexham star to have played for the Latics in recent years.
Left-wing-back James McClean enjoyed much success at the club prior to signing for the Welsh outfit.
Now, in a new interview with Wigan, in which he was answering fan questions, Mullin was asked what McClean told him about moving to the North West club.
When answering, the centre-forward said he ‘thinks’ Wrexham released news of his move to Wigan to the media as the ‘whole world knew’
He said: “To be fair I spoke to Jim, to be fair, after it was already done.
“But he sort of knew anyway, I think the world knew, I think Wrexham released it to the media or something because it got out there somehow.
“But yeah, he just said how good the club is and what to expect really and how grateful he was for looking after him and his family when they were here, obviously, helping his young kids come to the game and feel comfortable. He said hopefully it’ll be the same for me.”
Mullin was confirmed as a Wigan player on June 23, 2025, however, a transfer from Wrexham for the attacker was first mooted in the media on May 17, 2025.

Why Paul Mullin signed for Wigan Athletic
Mullin made his first Wigan appearance last weekend and earned praise from his new manager.
The striker is back in League One, but Wrexham do have the option to recall him in January if they wish.
Mullin has explained why he signed for Wigan this week, saying: “Many things, obviously. The history, the success. The club obviously playing in the Premier League as well. It’s probably recent history over the grand scheme of things.
“And as I say, the manager and knowing a few of the lads, obviously being local to them, living in Liverpool. But yeah the manager’s been brilliant since the first day I met them. Many things really and hopefully, it can all be successful.”
