Rob Mac found out Wrexham had released a player he loves when looking at Twitter.
After securing promotion to the Championship, Wrexham confirmed eight players were leaving on free transfers in May.
It follows a similar pattern of the Red Dragons letting go of numerous stars at the end of the footballing year on the back of promotion.
Further exits have since followed, with Paul Mullin now on loan at Wigan Athletic, Will Boyle signing for Shrewsbury Town, and Luke McNicholas securing a permanent transfer to Forest Green Rovers.
Now, Wrexham co-owner Rob Mac has revealed he found out one player was released when looking at Twitter.

Rob Mac found out about Wrexham player leaving on Twitter
Mac, who recently changed his name from Rob McElhenney, made an appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast.
He spoke briefly about Wrexham, including how hard it is when previously key players leave the club after promotion.
And when doing so, he said he found out about a recent exit from the club via social media.
Rob stated: “I found out one of my favourite players was released from the team this year, and I found out via Twitter.
“And I was just as shocked as he was, and it was his statement, and the manager hadn’t told us yet
“He [Parkinson] talked to the player, which is what he should have done, the player talked to his teammates and then put out a statement, which is his right to do, and I was, my heart was broken, and I did not see it coming.”
Wrexham players’ statements after release
Goalkeeper Mark Howard confirmed his departure from the Red Dragons on May 15 in a social media post.
Later that day, Steven Fletcher said he’s leaving Wrexham, ‘not by choice’, writing: “It’s with a heavy heart, and not by choice, that I unfortunately have to announce my departure from what I can only describe as the most magical club I have ever played at!
“In my 22 years of stepping onto a pitch, I have never experienced anything like this club. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to come here and fall back in love with the game! To have had the experiences and the opportunities that this club has given me has been just incredible. And this group of lads are the best that I have ever shared a changing room with.”
Jordan Davies then confirmed his Wrexham exit on May 16, writing: “My time at my hometown club has come to end, safe to say we’ve been on a special journey not in my dreams when I joined back in Covid did I think I’d be leaving here 5 seasons later with it being a Championship club.
“With unbelievable achievements right along the way. I want to say thank you to all the players and staff that have helped me on the journey.
“It was a special group of lads the whole time.
“Special thank you @vancityreynolds and @robmcelhenney for changing the feel around the whole town, long may the Wrexham journey continue.”
