Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has been discussing a player who is being released this summer.
After another promotion was secured last month, it is expected to be another big summer of change at the Racecourse Ground.
Phil Parkinson has confirmed Wrexham are in talks with players as they look to build a squad capable of competing in the Championship.
But with room needing to be made in their already big squad, which currently has 27 players over the age of 21, it’s not surprising that the club have already let players go.
Wrexham released eight names earlier this month, one of whom Parkinson has now been discussing.

Phil Parkinson on Sam Dalby leaving Wrexham and January decision
The player in question is Sam Dalby, who is set to leave the club for free next month.
Wrexham offered Dalby a contract renewal during the most recent January transfer window.
However, the in-form number nine opted against penning fresh terms and remained at Dundee United on loan.
Now, the Wrexham manager, as per Leader Live, has been discussing the decision not to recall Dalby in January as well as sharing that the pair had a private chat recently.
He said: “I had a good chat with Sam the other day and I am pleased for him.
He added: “Obviously we spoke to him in January about extending his contract and we didn’t want to call him back.
“I know there were times where we weren’t scoring goals and it was discussed but I didn’t want to call him back because in my mind, we were trying to bring players in.
“I thought if I call him back and he doesn’t end up in the team, he is going to be very frustrated so we wanted to keep him there.
“But now with his performances for Dundee United, he has got himself in a strong position to earn a contract somewhere.
“I am sure there are going to be a lot of options for him out there.”

Sam Dalby has options after leaving Wrexham
Ryan Reynolds sent a message to Dalby amid his departure from the club, and it remains to be seen exactly where he will end up.
After reaching double figures in Scotland and making himself a free agent, the striker should have his pick of clubs.
Dalby appeared to say goodbye to Dundee United in a social media post last week, despite the club’s manager being open for much of 2024/25 about their desire to sign him permanently.
Elsewhere, Wigan Athletic are in the race to sign the forward after already being linked with Paul Mullin.
