Rob Mac’s prediction for a ‘quality’ Wrexham player is now coming true away from the Racecourse Ground.
Wrexham let 20 players leave the club during the summer of 2025, including the likes of Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer.
Mullin is impressing for Wigan Athletic following his season-long loan move back to League One.
He now has four goals for the Latics, including three in the third tier. But the 30-year-old is not the only former Wrexham man shining away from North Wales.

Jack Marriott proving Rob Mac right after Wrexham exit
After a number of new strikers arrived in the most recent transfer window, there was no room in the squad for Jack Marriott.
The centre-forward has now joined Reading on a permanent basis and has had a prolific start to life with the Royals.
Manager Noel Hunt called Marriott ‘great’ this past weekend when the former Wrexham man once again found the back of the net
This was not the first time that the 31-year-old has shone during the 2025/26 campaign.
Marriott was dubbed ‘quality’ after he scored on his first start for Reading.
The Englishman now has a very impressive three goals and one assist in just four appearances for his new team, proving Rob Mac was right about him.

What Rob Mac said about Jack Marriott
Wrexham’s 2024/25 season began with a 3-2 win over a team that would prove to be promotion rivals, Wycombe Wanderers.
Mullin was still injured for that game, so Marriott partnered Ollie Palmer up top.
The now Reading ace found the back of the net, and after the clash, Mac predicted Marriott to shine.
He said: “I was just really excited for Jack [Marriott]. I just feel like he is going to shine.
“He was just looking for that goal that is going to give him the confidence to go out there and be the player that he is.
“It was beautiful. We don’t have any replay here so we had to run back in. We don’t have it up on TV so we had to look on our phones and find it.”
Marriott went on to suffer a long-term injury and after returning, lost his place in the eleven.
He never quite shone at Wrexham as Rob expected, but the early signs suggest he’s going to be a serious player for Reading.
