Wrexham earned a big win over Blackpool on Monday and three players have since earned praise from one journalist.
After dropping two points to Bristol Rovers on Good Friday, it was crucial that the Red Dragons bounced back three days later.
They did exactly that, with Wrexham beating Blackpool 2-1 to reclaim second place from Wycombe Wanderers and become League One promotion favourites once more.
While the scoreline suggests it was a close encounter, in reality, it was far from it.
Andy Morrell said post-match that James McClean could have scored three, while there probably could have easily been four or five goals total from Phil Parkinson’s side on the day.
It was McClean’s first Wrexham goal of 2025, and the left-wing-back has now come in for praise.

James McClean among Wrexham trio to impress vs Blackpool
McClean opened the scoring in the 61st minute before Ollie Rathbone made it 2-0 three minutes later.
Paul Mullin reacted to the Wrexham star after he posted an 11-word message following his strike, and the Irishman has continued to earn plaudits in the following days.
Speaking on the latest episode of the Rob.Ryan.Red podcast this week, journalist Rich Fay named three players who were excellent against Blackpool.
Among those was McClean, who Fay thinks just had one of his best performances for Wrexham.
He said: “I want to shout out three players, in particular, here.
!James McClean, for doing what he does best, I think that was one of his best Wrexham performances. I felt he was tremendous both sides of pitch. “

George Dobson and Dan Scarr shone against Blackpool
While McClean was superb on Monday, a number of other stars were also in top form en route to a pivotal three points.
Wrexham fans praised Dan Scarr after the centre-back was thrust into the starting line-up after Eoghan O’Connell picked up a knock last week. Club legend Morrell thinks Scarr was ‘insanely good’ against Blackpool as well.
And Fay was also quick to name-drop the former Plymouth Argyle man along with George Dobson when naming his standout performers versus Blackpool.
He added: “Second one for me is George Dobson. I thought he was tremendous in midfield. Obviously, the pass in the build to the opening goal is excellent, but I thought he just was so, so good at both ends of the pitch again. I thought he really did help us just dominate that midfield performance.
“But the odd one for me, Man of the Match was Dan Scarr.”
