Lewis O’Brien has spoken for the first time since he joined Wrexham, and has discussed what he can offer to Phil Parkinson’s side.
Wrexham are making significant moves in the summer transfer window, having brought in several stars to bolster Phil Parkinson’s squad already.
The Red Dragons have notably targeted Championship experience by signing Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle, whilst Josh Windass joined following his Sheffield Wednesday exit.
On top of that, Liberato Cacace and Danny Ward have arrived at the Racecourse Ground, with the New Zealand international especially expected to hit top heights under Parkinson this season.
Wrexham have also signed Lewis O’Brien on a permanent deal from Nottingham Forest, and the midfielder arrives having endured a positive spell at Swansea City last season.
After joining up with Parkinson’s side, he has spoken about what he can offer Wrexham this season.

Lewis O’Brien names three traits he can offer at Wrexham
Wrexham’s new arrival Lewis O’Brien has joined the club, having notched previous experience in the Premier League, Championship, and MLS, notably.
The combative midfielder struggled for game time during his tenure at Nottingham Forest, but now feels as though he has finally found ‘home’ by joining Wrexham.
On top of that, O’Brien also spoke about the key traits he possesses, which will make a significant difference to Wrexham.
When asked by the club what he can offer to Phil Parkinson’s side this season, O’Brien said: “Aggressive, high energy and hopefully cover every blade of grass.”

Lewis O’Brien will be able to replicate key James McClean trait this season
Wrexham will significantly benefit from having an extra layer of aggression in the squad, especially with the jump up to the Championship.
Lewis O’Brien has made it clear that he can offer this in the centre of the park, something that would blend well with captain James McClean.
Wrexham will need to grind out results this season, and having both O’Brien and McClean as the aggressors in the squad will make a huge difference for Phil Parkinson.
O’Brien will hopefully pan out as a brilliant acquisition by Ryan Reynolds and Phil Parkinson, with the midfielder set to play a key role when Wrexham inevitably find themselves under the cosh. Both O’Brien and McClean will be on standby to make the difference needed in that situation.
