Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson will have the Boxing Day clash against Blackpool in mind when he sits down for his Christmas dinner.
The festive period is well and truly upon us and Wrexham are looking for a big result on Boxing Day.
Wrexham endured a frustrating result on Saturday, throwing away a 1-0 lead at managerless Bristol Rovers to only to end up drawing 1-1.
This was even more frustrating because Wrexham repeated the scenario from a week earlier having drawn 2-2 with Cambridge United despite leading late in the game.
Phil Parkinson was not happy with his Wrexham squad against Bristol Rovers and will be looking for a response against Blackpool on Boxing Day.
2025 is drawing ever closer and Wrexham will be looking to end 2024 in style as Blackpool and Wigan Athletic travel to the STōK Cae Ras.

Jack Marriott sends message to Wrexham fans
Wrexham received a major boost on Christmas Eve as striker Jack Marriott appeared in training.
Marriott was handed a four-month injury lay-off in October as he suffered a broken leg.
That meant Marriott wasn’t expected to return until around February, sparking a deal to sign free agent Jon Dadi Bodvarsson.
Parkinson confirmed Marriott was ahead of schedule last week and the striker has now shown off is return.
Marriott has taken to social media to show a photo of him in training on Tuesday.
Marriott was mostly running with sports therapist Ryan Murray but the mere sight of him back on the grass will delight Parkinson and Wrexham fans everywhere.
‘Back on the grass with my guy,’ wrote Marriott.
‘The hard work continues,’ he added as he accelerates his much-awaited return from injury.
Wrexham players react
Wrexham players responded to Marriott’s post with fellow striker Modou Faal simply stating ‘uh oh’ – possibly exactly how some League One defenders are feeling as Marriott nears his return.
Andy Cannon added ‘lovely to see’ with the midfielder clearly ecstatic to see the striker in action again.
Ryan Barnet and Sebastian Revan added messages of support too, with Wrexham close to seeing a major source of goals return to action.
Wrexham have failed to kill off the last two games and adding Marriott back into the mix may be just what Parkinson needs right now.
Marriott scored five goals in just 675 minutes of League One action before his injury and remains Wrexham’s second-highest goalscorer in League One this season despite his absence.
Wrexham want a new striker in January but Marriott could offer a boost just at the right time, even if a return to league action before New Year seems unlikely.
