There are now less than 10 days remaining in the summer transfer window and Wrexham are still expecting plenty of activity before deadline day.
Wrexham aimed to get most of their business completed early by adding seven new faces to their squad before kicking off their campaign with a 3-2 win over Wycombe Wanderers.
The Reds addressed multiple areas of the pitch, including in midfield, where they broke their transfer record to sign Ollie Rathbone from Rotherham United.
With their defence and midfield significantly bolstered, Phil Parkinson has been working hard to complete his transfer puzzle, with the missing piece being a striker.
Meanwhile, the Wrexham boss is also looking to offload some of the players who haven’t featured in a matchday squad in any of their first three games.
So, with that in mind, here’s what a dream end to the transfer window may look like at the Racecourse Ground.

Bailey Cadamarteri signs on loan
Wrexham have been without Paul Mullin for the start of the season, and while his return is imminent, a new striker remains firmly on the agenda.
Parkinson previously attempted to sign John McAtee, who instead joined Bolton Wanderers, while negotiations for Tottenham’s Will Lankshear broke down as Ange Postecoglu plans to keep him in the first team.
The Welsh outfit have also held talks with Sheffield Wednesday striker Michael Smith but the likelihood of him signing looks incredibly slim as Danny Rohl has used the 32-year-old in each of their three matches.
Smith isn’t the only Wednesday striker Wrexham are after, as a move for youngster Bailey Cadamarteri seems a lot more plausible.
In a recent update on the 19-year-old’s future, it was revealed that Cadamerti is ‘expected to leave’ Hillsborough in search of regular minutes elsewhere, something Parkinson can offer him.
Previously described as ‘special’ by Rohl, the teenager has scored five goals in 27 appearances for the Owls but could flourish alongside Mullin at the head of Wrexham’s attack, utilising his pace and power to cause opposing defences problems.
For the Reds, signing a player like Cadamarteri would complete their business and be a dream end to the window.
Triple Wrexham exit agreed
Speaking of dreams, Parkinson could also fulfil his by offloading some of his fringe players, with three looking the most likely to depart.
One of those is Anthony Forde, who starred in Wrexham’s title-winning campaign in the National League but now finds himself fourth in the pecking order, with Sebastian Revan, Luke Bolton and Ryan Barnett all ahead of him at right wing-back.
Forde featured in the reserves’ 3-2 win over Stoke City on Tuesday however, he looks increasingly likely to depart if a suitable offer is made.
Jake Bickerstaff is another who could leave but unlike Forde, a loan move is what Parkinson would ideally want.
Bickerstaff scored a hat-trick in yesterday’s reserve victory over Stoke to send a clear message to the Wrexham boss and show he either needs first-team minutes at the Racecourse Ground or to be loaned out.
The 22-year-old had six months at Accrington Stanley last term but now deserves to get a full campaign of football under his belt, preferably in League Two.
Finally, the club must source an exit for Wrexham’s forgotten man Billy Waters, who didn’t feature at all in pre-season and hasn’t played for Parkinson since August last year – a 5-5 draw against Swindon Town.
Waters was loaned out to Doncaster Rovers in January, although in an uneventful spell, he failed to score in 11 appearances, with a summer exit now surely taking priority.
