Wrexham’s dream of League One promotion took a huge step to becoming reality with a 3-0 victory over Burton Albion.
Wrexham’s promotion permutations are now quite simple – win all of their five remaining games and Phil Parkinson’s side will be playing in the Championship next season.
Ryan Longman admitted ‘talking about’ promotion and the Red Dragons would create history in becoming the first side to win three successive promotions.
Wrexham know that nothing is secured yet and have a tough trip to Wigan Athletic on the horizon but it is now the stage of the season where players are starting to think about their futures ahead of next season.

Championship rule could hand Paul Mullin Wrexham lifeline
Nathan Salt has advised Paul Mullin on what he calls his ‘dwindling’ Wrexham career and the striker could be set for a move away from the Racecourse Ground having not played in the last 14 League One matches.
Mullin denied a rift with Parkinson in a social media message but the absence of the 30-year-old club legend is frustrating fans in what is a crucial period of the season.
With time seemingly running out on his time in North Wales, promotion could provide Mullin with a lifeline for his Wrexham career.
Promotion to the Championship would mean a squad increase from 22 to 25 at the Red Dragons and the ability for Parkinson to name nine substitutes instead of the seven currently allowed.
It would provide Mullin with the opportunity to have a full pre-season behind him and hit the ground running in an expanded squad on matchdays.
Wrexham eyeing strong additions for Championship squad
Whilst nothing is decided yet and Parkinson will be drumming that message into his players ahead of the build up to the Wigan clash, the club will be planning for a step up in quality next season.
Wrexham are interested in Tom Lawrence from Rangers, a player with experience in the Europa League this season and a wealth of games at Championship level.

Lee Hendrie believes Ryan Hardie will be a Wrexham target following interest in the January window for the Plymouth striker and the Red Dragons would be wise to start exploring options now.
Whilst the current Wrexham squad have done wonders to get the club into the position they are, the Red Dragons will need some quality additions to help stabilise if they do make it to the Championship next season.
