Wrexham should target Chelsea gem after Phil Parkinson comments
Since Parkinson arrived, Wrexham haven’t really utilised the loan market to much effect.
Arthur Okonkwo is the only player who has joined the Welsh side on loan from a Premier League club in the last several years.
But now they are playing in the Championship, there should be more opportunities for Wrexham to snag some top young talents on temporary deals.
One area the club probably needs to strengthen this summer, especially after Steven Fletcher’s exit, is up front.
Sam Smith is the only striker they still have who was able to notch a decent goal return in 2024/25, and more firepower should be targeted.
So, with Wrexham now looking at loaning players from top-flight clubs, they should try and secure a move for Donnell McNeilly.
