Wrexham are looking to reinforce their forward line in the 2025 winter transfer window.
Paul Mullin excelled for Wrexham vs Blackpool on Thursday, scoring a wonderful goal to end his drought.
However, it remains clear the Red Dragons’ striking options have not been good enough this season.
Elliot Lee is currently the club’s top scorer in all competitions, with Ollie Palmer and Steven Fletcher (3) both their highest-scoring forwards in League One.
Wrexham want to sign a striker in the January transfer window and a number of names have been linked in the last month or so.
Manchester United’s Ethan Wheatley is of interest to the Welsh outfit but he does lack experience at senior level.
Elsewhere, two Leeds United players have been linked to Wrexham, both of which are solid options.
However, it seems obvious that a move for a player targeted over the summer would make so much sense.

Wrexham moving for Will Lankshear is no-brainer
Wrexham were linked with Will Lankshear during the 2024 summer transfer window before signing Modou Faal.
However, despite initially being open to letting him leave, Tottenham decided to keep Lankshear in North London for the current campaign.
But the 19-year-old has had something of a nightmare season to date, seeing very little game time for Lilyywhites in 2024/25 – perhaps opening the door to a January switch.
Lankshear was sent off in the Europa League last month and has so far played just nine minutes of top-flight football this season.
The teenager was on the bench for Spurs on Boxing Day but didn’t come on despite Ange Postecoglou chasing a goal at 1-0 down.
If Lankshear is to develop as a player he needs to start earning more minutes, and with it clear Tottenham don’t see him as a regular or even semi-regular starter right now, a move to Wrexham this winter makes a lot of sense.

Will Lankshear goal record is impressive
While lacking a lot of experience in the first-team, Lankshear, who Spurs paid £2m for according to Sky Sports, has already proven he has a keen eye for goal.
His first senior strike came in the aforementioned European clash with Galatasaray in November.
Lanksheaer has scored in the EFL Trophy this term as well and has been prolific at U21 level.
| Stats | Will Lankshear (U21) |
| Games | 34 |
| Goals | 26 |
| Assists | 3 |
Whether or not Postecologu is ready to sanction a January exit or not remains to be seen. But a transfer to Wrexham does make a lot of sense for both parties with the Red Dragons in need of a number nine and Spurs likely wanting the Englishman to develop further before he starts playing regularly in the Premier League.
