It has been a pretty frustrating January transfer window for Wrexham fans so far.
The Red Dragons have exceeded expectations massively in the 2024/25 season after being tipped for a bottom-half finish last year.
Wrexham are unbeaten at home this season and though they lost to Shrewsbury Town last time out, are still in with a chance of securing automatic promotion.
However, those chances could be dealt a big blow this month if Phil Parkinson and co. don’t act in the transfer market.
Wrexham rivals Huddersfield Town signed Joe Taylor last week in a deal worth somewhere in the region of £3m.
Huddersfield are three points behind the Red Dragons in the League One table currently but will go level on points with a better goal different if they win their game in hand.
Meanwhile, another of the Hollywood-owned club’s promotion rivals are also making moves this month.

Wrexham rivals Wycombe Wanderers close in on transfer
Birmingham City are all but guaranteed to take top spot in the third tier, leaving second place as a race between Wrexham, Huddersfield, and Wycombe Wanderers.
Wycombe are now three points above Parkinson’s men with a six-better goal difference following their win at the weekend.
To make matters worse, The Chairboys are now closing in on a January transfer this week.
Journalist Pete O’Rourke has reported on Tuesday that James Berry is having a medical with Wycombe ahead of a move from Chesterfield.
Berry is a left-winger who has managed to score 10 goals and provide three assists in 28 appearances so far this season.
Phil Parkinson comments on Wrexham transfers
Wrexham have been sent a transfer warning recently, telling them to sign a Championship-level striker if they want any chance of finishing in the top two in 2024/25.
Michael Smith has been linked and the Sheffield Wednesday man suits that profile, though it’s not clear at this stage if the club have made an offer.
Meanwhile, Parkinson commented on Wrexham transfers last week but didn’t give a lot away in his brief statement.
He said: “Hopefully there will be a few things that happen.”
