Wrexham fans are desperate for some positive transfer news but Phil Parkinson seemingly doesn’t see imminent business materialising.
We are now over halfway through the January transfer window and the wait for Wrexham signings at the STōK Cae Ras goes on.
Phil Parkinson is yet to dip into the market and the pressure is now on.
Wrexham lost 2-1 at Shrewsbury Town on Thursday night, turning in a dismal performance in yet another away loss.
Birmingham City continue to go strong but Wycombe Wanderers are reeling after losing boss Matt Bloomfield to Luton Town.
Huddersfield Town recently splashed £3million on a striker and appear to be gathering momentum, so Wrexham really need some activity this month.

Phil Parkinson on Wrexham transfers
Wrexham fans are now desperate to some incoming business after Thursday’s torrid derby day defeat.
Reports suggest that Wrexham want a new striker but there appears to have been little movement in that regard.
Parkinson suggested that transfers weren’t on his mind after Wrexham’s defeat to Shrewsbury.
The Wrexham boss has offered more comments to BBC Sport, though his comments may not leave Wrexham fans expecting imminent business.
“Hopefully there will be a few things that happen,” said Parkinson, which doesn’t sound all that encouraging.
We have though pointed out that Parkinson likes to leave his January business pretty late.
This time last year, Wrexham fans were seeking additions to help the club in the race for promotion from League Two.
Parkinson left it late to snap up both Luke Bolton and Jack Marriott on deadline day, and we may well see a repeat this year.
Parkinson may hope for multiple signings
That comment from Parkinson may not point towards imminent business but he does say ‘a few things’.
Wrexham fans will hope that this points towards multiple signings arriving before the window closes.
Parkinson may well want a striker and reports suggest that Wrexham will make a move for Michael Smith as his Sheffield Wednesday deal runs down.
Wrexham were toothless at Shrewsbury but this isn’t just about finding another striker.
More creativity is needed too and Wrexham must look for another attacking midfield player to ease some of the burden on Elliot Lee.
Wrexham have looked at goalkeeper Thimothee Lo-Tutala too whilst Parkinson would be wise to consider another right wing back – if Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds can provide the funds for multiple signings.
