Wrexham have had a very active end to the 2025 winter transfer window with several signings made.

It was slow going at the Racecourse Ground for much of the winter but three weeks in, business began to pick up.

Ryan Longman has impressed since his move from Hull City, most recently providing the assist for the Red Dragons’ winner against Crawley Town over the weekend.

After Longman arrived, Phil Parkinson finally got a chance to improve his forward line with two excellent additions.

Wrexham signed Sam Smith in a club-record move from Reading and he was swiftly followed through the door by Jay Rodriguez.

The duo made their debuts over the weekend, starting up front in in the 2-1 victory.

Wrexham fans had a lot to say about Smith and Rodriguez during the match, with the bulk of the club’s business now seemingly done.

Wrexham target Jayden Danns likely to complete deadline day move

With two centre-forwards arriving, Parkinson currently has a staggering seven number nines to pick from.

Ollie Palmer and Paul Mullin have transfer interest today but even if one of them leaves, Wrexham’s frontline is still very well stocked.

As a result, it’s not surprising to see one of their targets from January on the verge of making a move elsewhere.

It was reported earlier in the window that Wrexham were interested in Jayden Danns of Liverpool.

Marc Albrighton dubbed the Wrexham target ‘brilliant’ when speaking on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra last month.

Now, journalist Darren Witcoop has provided an update on the striker, reporting Hull are ‘confident’ of beating Sunderland to his signature.

He wrote on X/Twitter: “Liverpool plan on sending out a number of young players on loan on deadline day. Kaide Gordon to Portsmouth is almost done while Hull are confident of pipping Sunderland for Jayden Danns.”

What Phil Parkinson said about more Wrexham transfers

Striker was the main priority position for the Welsh outfit this month but more arrivals are not out of the question.

Parkinson provided a Wrexham transfer update recently, confirming Shaun Harvey is with them and ‘never say never’ to more arrivals.

He said: “We’re going to have a good chat because we’ve had a very hectic few days.

“Shaun Harvey is with us and we’ll decide where we go in the next few days. At the moment, we’re just assessing a few things. You never say never but this week has been a good week for us in the transfer market, and it’ll give all of the lads a lift.”
