Wrexham are still in the market for a new striker as the summer transfer deadline draws ever closer for Phil Parkinson and co.
Wrexham have enjoyed a fascinating start to the new season.
Phil Parkinson opened with a superb 3-2 in over Wycombe Wanderers as the STōK Cae Ras welcomed Wrexham back to League One.
A 4-2 defeat at Sheffield United saw Wrexham crash out of the Carabao Cup before heading to Bolton Wanderers.
After conceding six goals in just a few days, Wrexham can be pleased with a clean sheet against Parkinson’s former club.
The 0-0 draw wasn’t the finest attacking display from Wrexham though and fans still want to see an attacker arrive this month.

Stephen Humphrys still available for Wrexham
Paul Mullin is on his way back to fitness but Wrexham may still need more competition for the likes of Ollie Palmer, Jack Marriott and Steven Fletcher.
Wrexham have been linked with some many forwards over the course of the summer but none have arrived just yet.
One name mentioned way back in May was Stephen Humphrys as he was released by Wigan Athletic.
Wrexham were keen on Humphrys in January and the rumours returned following promotion to League One.
We are now nearly two weeks into the new season and, curiously, Humphries doesn’t yet have a new club.
The 26-year-old has scored goals at League One level in the past but nobody has yet pounced to sign him.
Blackburn Rovers were interested in Humphrys in July but the Championship side have moved elsewhere with their attacking additions.
Perhaps Wrexham still have Humphrys on the radar in case other forwards can’t be signed.
Wrexham wanted to sign John McAtee from Luton Town before seeing him sign for Bolton instead.
Humphrys has similar versatility in the sense that he can play up front or off the striker whilst even being able to play out wide.
The former Fulham talent appears to have been on the Wrexham radar for a while now and Parkinson will surely be aware of his availability.
The hesitation maybe that Humprhys hasn’t been through a full pre-season and may not be quite as sharp as targets at other clubs.
Humphrys is still a name to keep an eye on though, especially with other targets heading elsewhere.
Wrexham striker rumours
Wrexham continue to be linked with new forwards and the aforementioned McAtee seemed to be an ideal target before choosing Bolton.
Scottish striker Kieran Bowie was a Wrexham target but he moved to Hibernian and loan target Will Lankshear looks set to stay at Tottenham Hotspur.
Wrexham also fancy Michael Smith but there has been little progress on a deal for the Sheffield Wednesday attacker.
Owls teammate Bailey Cadamarteri has been linked with Wrexham too but speculation surrounding a move for Millwall’s Tom Bradshaw has cooled.
Wrexham are working hard to bring a new forward in but with deals proving tough at the moment, perhaps free agent Humphrys will come back into the picture.
