Wrexham are showing that they are not just in the Championship to make up the numbers this season.

After shattering their transfer record twice already this window, Wrexham have agreed a deal for Nathan Broadhead believed to be in the region of £7.5m.

The signing provides Phil Parkinson with yet more attacking firepower and it appears the Red Dragons are not stopping there.

Wrexham still hold interest in Kieffer Moore and are looking to reunite the Welsh duo at club level. Parkinson will love what Moore’s former manager once said about him.

Chris Wilder revealed Kieffer Moore is a ‘team player’

Speaking back in October 2024, following Sheffield United’s victory over Stoke City, Moore’s former manager Chris Wilder heaped praise on the striker.

Despite a lack of goals, the Wales international was praised for his work that he does for the team – a trait that will bode well under the Wrexham manager.

As per The Star, Wilder stated: “His form’s been good. He’s a team player. We’re happy for him to score but his form’s been OK. He’s playing in a team that’s got 24 points from 12 games.”

Parkinson has been warned to focus away from strikers in the transfer window, but with Ollie Palmer and Modou Faal expected to leave the club, there could be room for one more addition in the area.

Moore is a player that has proven himself at Championship level and enjoyed some success in the Premier League and on the international stage with Wales.

Moore’s arrival would benefit Ryan Longman as the 32-year-old would provide a real aerial presence for the crosses from the right wing back.

Wrexham are prepared to spend £10m on another striker and whilst a fee of around £4m has been mooted for the Welsh international, he would represent another piece of shrewd business.

Another experienced figure that knows the division inside out would be a valuable asset to Parkinson and his squad this season.

If fans can put aside his previous connections with rivals Cardiff City, Moore could well be one of the smartest pieces of transfer activity this summer.
