It has been a tough week for a couple of players sent out on loan by Wrexham this summer.
Paul Mullin started as Wigan Athletic lost to Luton Town on Tuesday evening, featuring for 74 minutes.
The Wrexham loanee was slammed by Wigan fans for his display, which included him missing a big chance in the first half.
Mullin earned sympathy from the Dragons faithful, but it was still a tough outing for the striker.
Elsewhere during the midweek EFL action, another Wrexham loanee struggled.

On-loan Wrexham striker struggles
Wrexham loaned out Jake Bickerstaff to Cheltenham Town for the 2025/26 season.
Bickerstaff featured in a 5-0 hammering at the hands of MK Dons over the weekend.
And the Wrexham striker was once again in action on August 19 as his new team lost 2-1 to Bromley.
It means Cheltenham have started a Football League campaign with four defeats in a row for the first time in their history.
Speaking after the match, as per BBC Sport, manager Michael Flynn said he wants to sign another striker in the current window.
He said: “We’re limited in the players we can bring in. I think we’ve done the best we can. There’s lots more I think we need.
“We probably need another centre-back, another winger, another centre-forward. There’s areas we need to improve in.
Bickerstaff played 64 minutes and had one shot on goal before being taken off against Bromley.

Wrexham loanee earns praise
While it’s been a bad week for Mullin and Bickerstaff, another Wrexham man has earned praise during his loan spell.
Sebastian Revan has joined Burton Albion on loan this season and made his debut off the bench against Port Vale.
Speaking after that match, Burton boss Gary Bowyer praised Revan.
He said: “Moving forward, that’s exciting to watch those two as wing-backs for how we want to play.
“I’m delighted for Seb to get on the pitch and make his debut, and, again, that’s another positive for us.
“The fact that Lofty and Seb started to get joy down those flanks is something we can build on.”
