Wrexham could have some players linking back up at the Stok Racecourse on January 1st, as they return from loan spells elsewhere.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney decided to loan five players out in the summer for numerous reasons.
Game time was obviously of the essence for some Red Dragons’ first-team squad members, but it was also a chance to flaunt the talent they have, in the hopes that if they do perform well, Wrexham’s owners may be able to flog them in January, or the summer.
With this, loanees could be recalled, and some will be returning from their current clubs in January.
Sam Dalby

Sam Dalby is currently smashing it in Scotland, with the striker top scorer in the Scottish Premiership. His situation is the most interesting in January.
His season-long loan deal does include a break clause in January, meaning he can be recalled.
Dundee wants to keep Dalby, but with his contract expiring at the end of the season, the likely option will be for Wrexham to recall the forward, and sell Dalby for some cash.
That isn’t to say Dundee won’t sign him permanently, with Dalby keen on staying in Scotland and his Dundee manager also desperate to keep Sam around.
Jordan Davies

Jordan Davies is in the exact same category as Dalby but hasn’t been performing as well as his English counterpart.
Davies has three goals in nine League Two games for Grimsby Town and also has a break clause meaning he could return.
With Matty James’ recent contract extension, it’s looking ever more likely that Davies will be recalled and sold in January.
Jake Bickerstaff

This one is a certainty, Jake Bickerstaff will return from his National League spell at Altrincham in January.
He definitely isn’t expected to be the answer to Wrexham’s lack of goals upfront, so Bickerstaff will likely be heading out on loan once more.
With just one goal in 11 games for Altrincham, Bickerstaff’s new loan destination will likely be elsewhere.
Billy Waters

Billy Waters, like Bickerstaff, is a certainty to be coming back to Wrexham on January 1st.
Again, he won’t be the answer to the Red Dragons’ goalscoring problems, although Waters has hit form recently with Halifax Town.
Another loan is the likely option, although with his contract out in the summer, he could be another to fall into the bracket of a sale to fund potential January window signings.
