Ollie Palmer remains involved with Wrexham despite leaving on a free transfer in August.
The striker lost his place in the League One squad under Phil Parkinson at the end of January.
Ollie Palmer did return during the 2025 pre-season and scored a brace against Hull City in the Carabao Cup early in the campaign.
However, he was unable to break into the Championship team, and as the summer transfer window neared its end, Palmer’s Wrexham contract was terminated.
The 33-year-old is now at Swindon Town but remains involved with the North Wales club.

Ollie Palmer’s new role at Wrexham
Palmer was instrumental to Wrexham’s rise from the fifth tier all the way up to the Championship.
He was one of the first names on the team sheet under Parkinson until the beginning of this year and received touching messages from Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac after his departure.
Now, Palmer has confirmed on the Life of a Kitman podcast that Wrexham have given him an ambassador role.
He also revealed that he is still filming with the Welcome to Wrexham documentary team this year.
Palmer said: “Technically, I am involved [with Wrexham], actually, but I could speak about it. I’ve got no issue speaking about it, the club, Swindon, have been wicked with me.
“I’ve got like an ambassador role with the football club that, when I left that they all agreed that they wanted me to have, and I accepted it.
“Come to Swindon they said. Great because then the documentary has been at the Swindon games and they’ve been here [podcast studio]. So it’s great exposure, it’s great for everyone, and Ryan knows that, and Rob knows that, and they want to help. But no, it’s been great to get to know them, it’s been a whirlwind, really.”

When will Season 5 of Welcome to Wrexham be released
Season 5 of Welcome to Wrexham was confirmed over the summer.
Filming for the series has already begun, as shown by Palmer’s comments.
Season 5 is expected to follow the Red Dragons as they navigate the second tier of English football for the first time in 43 years.
Reynolds and Mac were spotted filming for Welcome to Wrexham back in August, and while an official release date hasn’t been confirmed, it will likely air shortly after the 2025/26 campaign comes to a close.
