Wrexham can relax heading to Lincoln City on the final day of the season knowing that promotion to the Championship is secured.

Wrexham’s stunning 3-0 win over Charlton Athletic ensured a historic third successive promotion and owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney can begin to start planning for life in the Championship.

McElhenney is loving Wrexham’s content on social media with him commenting on a post of Sam Smith’s opening goal and the feel-good factor could not be higher at the Racecourse Ground.

The final fixture at Lincoln could be an opportunity for Phil Parkinson to allow the likes of Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer to have a rare run out and fan favourite Mullin has just made himself even more popular with his latest social media message.

Paul Mullin pokes fun at Nathan Jones

Charlton Athletic boss had plenty to say in the build up to the promotion clash as Jones described Wrexham as a ‘circus’.

Dan Scarr’s verdict on Jones’s comments was that they only served to fire the Wrexham squad up even further and were even used in Parkinson’s team talk.

Mullin has now taken to his Instagram story to poke fun at the Charlton boss with a four word message alongside three pictures of the consecutive promotion celebrations.

The Wrexham striker simply wrote: “Football at the circus,” followed by two heart emojis and the word ‘Three,’ accompanied by three pictures of Wrexham promotion celebrations in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Paul Mullin to make Wrexham farewell v Lincoln

Carlton Palmer has backed Wrexham to sell Mullin this summer and having not played in the league since January, his time could be up in North Wales.

Wrexham fans will want to thank their hero for everything he has achieved with the club and will arguably go down as one of the club’s greatest ever players.

Parkinson should start Mullin against Lincoln in order to give him the send off he deserves if it does prove to be his final outing for the Red Dragons.

Promotion is secured and fans will be in a party mood, what better way to sign off the season than to have the 100 plus goal scorer on the pitch once again.
