Wrexham fans had to wave goodbye to long-time club servant Paul Mullin this summer.
Paul Mullin had Championship dreams with Wrexham following their promotion to the second tier in April.
However, the centre-forward fell heavily out of favour in the second half of last season, not featuring from February onwards in the league.
In turn, Wrexham loaned Mullin to Wigan Athletic for the 2025/26 season, though he can be recalled in January.
Mullin explained why he joined Wigan in a recent interview that took place during their recent warm-weather training camp, and he’s now given his verdict on his first few weeks with the Latics.

Paul Mullin message after Wigan Athletic debut
Mullin made his first Wigan appearance last weekend in a pre-season friendly.
After that fixture, manager Ryan Lowe praised the Wrexham loanee, though he did say he looked a bit rusty upon his return to action.
The 30-year-old made his second appearance for the League One club on Saturday, playing 45 minutes of a 1-1 draw.
That was the final game of Wigan’s warm-weather training camp, and Mullin has now taken to Instagram to share his verdict on the trip.
He wrote: “Great week out in [Spanish flag emoji] @laticsofficial.”
Paul Mullin on Wrexham releasing Wigan Athletic transfer
Mullin’s transfer to Wigan was first mooted in the press all the way back in May, just weeks after the 2024/25 season had ended.
A deal for the Englishman was eventually made official towards the back end of June.
But speaking last week, Mullin thinks Wrexham released the transfer news to the media.
He said: “To be fair I spoke to Jim [James McClean], to be fair, after it was already done.
“But he sort of knew anyway, I think the world knew, I think Wrexham released it to the media or something because it got out there somehow.”
