Wrexham fans are still waiting for their club to sign a new centre-forward in the January transfer window.
Reports emerged all the way back in November 2024 that Wrexham want to sign a striker in the winter window.
Manchester United gem Ethan Wheatley was looked at by the Red Dragons in December, but there has been little movement on that front.
Elsewhere, Joe Gelhardt scored a screamer for Hull City after opting to join the Championship outfit on loan despite interest from Phil Parkinson’s side.
More recently, Wrexham have been linked with Michael Smith of Sheffield Wednesday yet again following an approach in the summer transfer window.
Fans aren’t overly sold on Smith joining their club despite the 33-year-old being proven in the Championship and in good form.
Now though, Wrexham should be looking to snap up a Premier League player who is said to be available.

Nottingham Forest make Emmanuel Dennis available for transfer
Wrexham have been told to sign a Championship-level striker if they want a proper shot at automatic promotion this term.
But they should go one better than that and sign a player who has already proven himself in the Premier League.
Nottingham Forest have left Emmanuel Dennis out of their Premier League squad for the 2024/25 season and he now looks set for a January exit.
According to The Star, Sheffield Wednesday are looking at potentially moving for Dennis, while Forest are said to be willing to listen to both loan and permanent offers, according to Sky Sports.
It would be a bold move from Wrexham, but that is exactly what they need if they want to pip big-spending Huddersfield Town and Wycombe Wanders to second place.
Dennis has played 52 Premier League matches throughout his career, scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists.

Emmanuel Dennis could help Wrexham land Michael Smith
Alternatively, if Wrexham can’t afford to spend money on the wages of a Premier League player, he could still help them land their main transfer target this summer.
As already mentioned, Sheffield Wednesday are looking at the 27-year-old as an option in the current window.
Should he sign, it could open the door for the Owls to sanction the sale of Smith this month.
The veteran forward has been left on the bench of late and it’s likely Wednesday will be more willing to sell if they get a replacement in.
