The January transfer window is almost two weeks old now but Wrexham and Phil Parkinson have been quiet so far.
January always brings hope and a fresh start, but in football there is just one thing fans tend to think about – the transfer window.
The market is open once again and Wrexham have a chance to bolster Phil Parkinson’s options.
Wrexham signed eight players over the summer but have also added four free agents since the summer window closed.
Shaun Harvey has hinted that Wrexham can spend in January and fans are looking for key additions as the race for promotion heats up.
Wrexham want a new striker but one position should not be overlooked as Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds consider spending.

Wrexham must not forget one position this month
Yes, a new striker would be great during this window.
Paul Mullin has struggled so far this season and an additional source of goals could be absolutely crucial.
We noted in December that Wrexham must add another attacking midfielder and another position should not be forgotten.
Ryan Barnett has been exceptional this season and would be right in the running for Player of the Season.
Yet whilst Barnett is just electric going forward, there are some defensive deficiencies and Wrexham have conceded a few too many goals from that right side.
Adding another right wing back option would just keep Barnett on his toes and add another option should Wrexham need to close a game out and bring a more defensive option onto the pitch.
Finding wing backs isn’t easy; they need to attack like wingers and defend like full backs, so finding players who fit the bill is far from simple.
Barnett has the attacking output but the defensive concerns – alongside fears of over-working him – mean Wrexham should still look into another addition.

Phil Parkinson surely looking at right wing backs
Wrexham did actually sign a right wing back last January.
Luke Bolton joined Wrexham from Salford City and was viewed as the ideal competition for Barnett.
The former Manchester City talent has never really got going though and has failed to play a single minute of League One action this season.
Injuries have held Bolton back this season, leading to his lack of major action.
Bolton was actually close to leaving Wrexham over the summer as well but a deal with an unknown club ended up collapsing.
That Wrexham were willing to let Bolton leave just months after signing him suggests that he may not be in the long-term plans at the STōK Cae Ras.
Parkinson has left the door open for Bolton to kick on in 2025 but it would be little surprise to see Wrexham be proactive and add another option.
Anthony Forde wasn’t even registered for League One action in the first half of the season and Sebastian Revan is a left footer.
Wrexham have bodies at right wing back but questions surround them all and if the money is in the budget after chasing a striker, right wing back should be another priority.
