As Wrexham have soared through the Football League over the last few years, few players have been more influential to that rise than Paul Mullin.
The prolific striker has been a revelation and has truly established himself as a Wrexham legend, but since the start of the season, Mullin has struggled to keep up his goalscoring feats.
While Wrexham fans remain supportive of Mullin through this rough patch, there is a chance the club will end up signing a replacement for him next month.

Reports suggest Wrexham will spend big on a new striker in the January transfer window, with multiple names linked to the Welsh outfit.
Apparently, Wrexham are eyeing a move for Patrick Bamford at Leeds United, while younger options are also being considered, with Manchester United’s Ethan Wheatley reportedly on Wrexham’s radar.
Either way, it would appear attacking reinforcements are right at the top of Phil Parkinson’s shopping list for the impending transfer window, which could spell bad news for Mullin.

The 30-year-old has not only struggled in front of goal this season, but has also lost his place in the starting XI by and large this term, with just six starts to his name.
If Parkinson were to add another striker to his roster, there is a very good chance that Mullin would slip even further down the pecking order, and the Wrexham hero would simply have to settle for being a squad player as opposed to his former role as the main man.
Say it quietly, but Paul Mullin may have reached his limits now
Wrexham fans believe Mullin can get back to his best, and have seen encouraging signs in his performances of late.
However, there is now a very real possibility that we are not just witnessing a temporary dip in form from Mullin, rather a striker who has simply reached his limits in the game.
There would be no shame in that. Mullin excelled in the National League and League Two, delivering frankly unthinkable goal returns for Wrexham, and there is no doubt the club would not have been half as successful were it not for his efforts.
League One is, of course, another step up in quality, though, and at 30-years-old, Mullin is slowly heading towards the latter stages of his career, so it would make sense that the forward is showing signs of decline.
There is still hope Mullin can turn things around, and no one will want that more than the man himself. But, even if he retired today, Mullin could sleep easy knowing he has been an impeccable servant to Wrexham, and will be remembered forever as one of the most iconic players to grace the Racecourse Ground.
