Wrexham could raid their Welsh rivals for some new players this summer. Particularly, Cardiff City have a few players liked by Phil Parkinson.
Wrexham will play Welsh rivals Swansea City in the Championship next season. But not Cardiff City who’ve been relegated to League One after finishing dead last in the second tier this season.
And already it’s been reported that the Dragons could raid Cardiff for some of their better players this summer, with Phil Parkinson eyeing Championship experienced players in the summer transfer window.
Callum Robinson was the first to be linked. Wrexham want to sign the Cardiff hitman who scored 12 in the Championship last season. Then it was revealed by Wrexham Insider that Wrexham like Ollie Tanner and Isaak Davies at the Cardiff City Stadium as well.
Meanwhile at Swansea City, Wrexham are linked with Harry Darling who looks set to become a free agent, and will no doubt have plenty of suitors in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Wrexham boost as Cardiff City chairman predicts player sales
Following the Bluebirds’ relegation, chairman Mehmet Dalman has predicted that the club will sell several first-team players this season. He’s spoken about how the current first-team squad is far too big, suggesting that his side could sell up to eight players. Who that might be remains to be seen.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Dalman said: “We have 33 players on our books and that’s quite a lot. I think that needs to be cut back to more like 25 or 26. Out of the eight who are out of contract, we would probably lose six, maybe five. There may be a couple that we still want to have conversations with. That will bring us to a sensible number.
“We probably need to add three or four players into the team. And don’t forget we’ve got some of the brightest, most promising youngsters coming through the academy.”

One Wrexham transfer target is bound to leave Cardiff City
Of the three Cardiff players linked with a summer move to the Racecourse, it seems like Robinson might be the likeliest to leave because he was the club’s top scorer last season, and he’s one of the players in the side with both Championship experience and Championship quality.
That, and there was recently speculation that Robinson missed Cardiff City’s final game of the season to go and watch former club Aston Villa instead. Robinson later denied the accusation, although it may well suggest an air of Robinson wanting to leave this summer.
Tanner and Davies might do well to secure Championship moves after mixed seasons in the Championship. Cardiff will want to keep some of their better players too as they look to return straight back to the second tier.
But Dalman’s quotes will certainly be of interest to Wrexham ahead of the summer transfer window opening in June.
