Wrexham could lose another player this summer, but an EFL manager has suggested a potential problem with a deal.
The Red Dragons continue to make wholesale changes to their squad in the 2025 summer transfer window.
Wrexham have missed out on Lewis Koumas to Birmingham City, but they have added another player to their growing squad this week.
Callum Boyle joined from Manchester City on Thursday, taking the club’s new arrival count up to 10.
With all the summer signings, Wrexham’s squad is too big and Phil Parkinson will have to either leave at least six players out in the Championship from September 2 or move more stars on.

Reading manager on signing Jack Marriott from Wrexham
On that front, another potential transfer exit has been mooted this week.
Wrexham fans reacted to Jack Marriott’s Reading links that emerged on Tuesday.
Now, Reading manager Noel Hunt has discussed the possibility of signing the striker.
When doing so, he mentioned the ‘big money’ involved in potential signings, as per The Reading Chronicle.
He said: “We’re looking for anything out there at the moment- the money is the big thing at the moment.
“We have to find someone that will suit us. Jack is a Wrexham player. I love Jack, he scores goals at this level, but I think it is unfair to talk about someone at another club.”

Wrexham could repeat Paul Mullin trick with Jack Marriott
One problem Wrexham are facing when trying to move players on this summer is wages.
A lot of their stars are on decent money, and EFL clubs who might be interested can’t afford, or at the very least don’t want to, pay their wages.
Wrexham are paying 50 percent of Paul Mullin’s wages after his loan move to Wigan Athletic.
Elsewhere, our transfer expert, Graeme Bailey, has previously spoken to us about an Ollie Palmer exit.
We learned that Palmer’s wages mean that Wrexham, as they did with Mullin, will have to help on that front, which they are willing to do.
So, if Reading or any other interested clubs can’t afford Marriott’s full wage, it may be another case of the Dragons having to chip in to get a deal done.
