Luke Bolton leaving Wrexham
The likes of Adam, Boyle and Hall, who have already gone, saw little game time in 2024/25.
Another player who had similar struggles when it came to minutes during the club’s latest promotion-winning season was Luke Bolton.
The right-back joined Wrexham from Salford City for an undisclosed transfer fee in February 2024.
He made 17 appearances as the Dragons secured promotion from League Two, but a combination of injuries and competition for places meant he played just 169 minutes last term.
Now, Pete O’Rourke has reported that Bolton has agreed a move to Mansfield Town. No transfer fee is mentioned.
Phil Parkinson comments on Luke Bolton
When he first arrived at the club, Parkinson was impressed by Bolton, labelling him as ‘outstanding’.
He said: “Bolts was really good, he’s settled in over the last few weeks.
“You can just see he’s getting more comfortable in the environment with us and I thought this week was an outstanding week on the training pitch for Luke and he took it into today’s performance.”
But it just didn’t work out for the defender last season, falling behind Ryan Barnett and Ryan Longman at right-wing-back, with Sebastian Revan also able to cover in that position.
