Wrexham are chasing a new striker this month but one summer transfer target can be crossed off Phil Parkinson’s list.
The January transfer window has almost reached its midway point already.
The month has flown by so far; it feels like only five minutes since Wrexham fans were wanting new signings after the New Year’s Day defeat to Barnsley.
Wrexham have been quiet so far; no incomings and Billy Waters’ imminent move to Oldham Athletic the only major outgoing.
Phil Parkinson likes to leave his January business late but Wrexham fans will be looking for some deals to accelerate in the coming days.
Wrexham want a new striker according to reports and a number of names will be in the mix for Parkinson and co.

Oxford United set to sign Wrexham-linked striker
Wrexham have been linked with a host of players so far with some big names involved.
Leeds United’s Patrick Bamford has been linked with Wrexham but a deal for the ex-England international looks unlikely.
A much more realistic rumour emerged on Tuesday with Wrexham expected to move for Michael Smith as he enters the final stages of his Sheffield Wednesday contract.
Another name Wrexham will have one eye on is Millwall’s Tom Bradshaw.
Wrexham were linked with Bradshaw over the summer, before the Welsh international suffered a significant injury blow.
Now back fit again, Bradshaw makes sense for Wrexham as a proven Championship goalscorer – but he won’t be heading to the STōK Cae Ras.
The Mirror’s Dan Marsh reports that Bradshaw is now set to sign for Championship side Oxford United.
The move will see Bradshaw reunite with his former Millwall boss Gary Rowett, with Wrexham’s summer interest again mentioned.
Bradshaw was due to be out of contract this summer, so Wrexham may well have kept him on the radar – but he is now one to forget about this month.
Wrexham striker waiting on January business
Bradshaw will not be signing for Wrexham but a new striker remains the top priority.
Paul Mullin has struggled for goals this season and Ollie Palmer hasn’t been particularly prolific since promotion from the National League.
Steven Fletcher is best suited to a super-sub role and Jack Marriott is only just coming back from injury.
Another goalscorer could be crucial to Wrexham’s promotion hopes but Jon Dadi Bodvarsson is left waiting.
Bodvarsson joined Wrexham on a free transfer in October and penned a short-term deal until January.
The Icelandic forward is still at the club and may well be kept until Wrexham know the fate of their striking pursuits.
That isn’t ideal for Bodvarsson but Wrexham don’t want to be caught short and may leave a decision on his future as late as possible.
