Wrexham are still paying Paul Mullin despite the centre-forward leaving the Racecourse Ground in May.
Paul Mullin fell out of favour in North Wales back in January 2025.
Phil Parkinson explained why he axed Mullin from the Wrexham squad over the summer before allowing the striker to go out on loan.
The 30-year-old has remained close to home, signing for League One outfit Wigan Athletic for the entire 2025/26 season.
Mullin is playing regularly for Wigan, who are paying half of his wages during the loan spell. Here’s how much he’s earned so far this season.

How much Wrexham have paid Paul Mullin this season
Mullin’s transfer to Wigan was confirmed on June 23, 2025.
Not long after his departure, details of the Wrexham striker’s loan deal were shared.
It was said that the Red Dragons are still paying the forward 50 percent of his wages, while Wigan are coughing up the rest.
Mullin earns £5,800-a-week on a contract that runs until June 2027, meaning Wrexham are spending £2,400-a-week on him.
From his exit on June 23 to October 7, just over 15 weeks have passed. That means the Englishman has taken just over £36,000 from the Welsh outfit.

Who is Wrexham’s highest-paid player
While Mullin was previously a top earner, Wrexham’s meteoric rise up the EFL has changed the wage structure completely.
Kieffer Moore signed from Sheffield United on August 5, 2025, for a £2m transfer fee.
It has since been reported that Moore is Wrexham’s highest-paid player, notching £30,000-a-week.
That is nearly as much as Mullin has cost the Dragons since he left over the summer.
In total, nine weeks have now passed since Moore arrived, meaning he has already taken £270,000 from Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac’s club.
