Wrexham hero Ollie Palmer has been handed a glorious parting message by teammate Elliot Lee following his move to Swindon Town.
It has been confirmed that Ollie Palmer has left Wrexham for Swindon Town following three-and-a-half years at the Racecourse Ground.
Wrexham fans have sent their wishes to Palmer ahead of his next future, with many sad to see him leave after the integral role he played in the three promotions.
Ollie Palmer is one of many players to no longer be part of Wrexham’s set-up, despite the difference they made in the early years of the Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac era.
Players have shown their support for the Red Dragons forward, with Wrexham veteran James McClean penning a message to Palmer. Elliot Lee has also sent a message to his teammate, discussing the ‘memories’ they had together on the pitch.

What Elliot Lee said to departing teammate Ollie Palmer
Ollie Palmer had a big impact on the Wrexham squad and all involved with the club, including the owners Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds, who both penned a lengthy message to the striker.
Elliot Lee is the next Wrexham hero to write a departing message to Palmer, having taken to Instagram to post a story with a photo of the two players.
The message read: “Hell of a ride my boy, up the memories! Long live the king.”
Lee’s time at Wrexham may also draw to a close before the summer transfer window concludes on Monday due to the realisation that the attacking midfielder is no longer an integral part of Phil Parkinson’s plans.

Ollie Palmer has made many memories alongside Elliot Lee
Of all the players to play alongside Ollie Palmer, Elliot Lee has notched the joint-most appearances with the striker, alongside Paul Mullin.
Palmer and Lee played 120 matches in total for Wrexham when alongside each other, from the 2-1 home win against Eastleigh, to the EFL Cup win against Hull City this season, which saw the departed Red Dragons hero net twice at the end of the contest.
As Palmer has now officially left the club, while it looks as though Lee’s future could be in doubt at North Wales, it will be a tough blow for Wrexham fans to deal with. Those two, alongside Mullin, were crucial in bringing the club to where it now sits, and the supporters will never forget that.
