Wrexham target Jonny Evans retires

Reports emerged in May that Wrexham were considering a move for Jonny Evans.

The centre-back was due to leave Manchester United at the end of his contract later this month.

However, it has since been confirmed that Evans is retiring from football after playing his final game for the Red Devils in a post-season friendly on May 30.

Phil Parkinson speaks on Wrexham transfers

Parkinson commented on Wrexham transfers this week and sent a message to fans.

He said: “It is an exciting summer. I know the fans will be eagerly anticipating some signings and things like that, but as we know in the past, we have always tried to be patient and bring in the players we feel are right for the club.

“It is a very special club to be part of and we want to bring the lads in that we feel can enhance what we’ve already got.”

Wrexham interested in Myles Peart-Harris

Earlier in the week, Parkinson said Wrexham are looking at Premier League loans this summer.

It has since emerged that the Dragons are interested in Myles Peart-Harris of Brentford, whom the Bees paid £1.4m for in 2021.

The versatile midfielder spent time on loan at Swansea City in 2024/25, scoring three and assisting four in the Championship.

Wrexham want MLS forward

A new striker looks to be a priority for the club once more this summer, with Wrexham now favourites to sign Sunusi Ibrahim.

Currently on the books of MLS side CF Montreal, Wrexham fans have reacted to the Ibrahim link and don’t seem too impressed.

The attacker is valued between $300,000 and $500,000 and has made seven appearances in the current MLS campaign.
