Wrexham have a monumental summer transfer window in front of them, but what the summer could hold for the Dragons really is anyone’s guess.
No doubt, what business Wrexham do in this summer’s transfer window will massively influence how well they perform in the Championship under Phil Parkinson next season.
But it’s already come to light that Wrexham have a £25million transfer budget for this summer’s transfer window and now, we know that Wrexham are ready to break the bank on player wages too.
That means we could see some big, big names arriving at the Racecourse this summer, with several having already been linked.
Here we predict what the summer transfer window will bring for Wrexham…

Paul Mullin will get snapped up by a League One or League Two team
Whilst this summer will see some exciting new faces arrive at the club, it’ll also see some familiar ones leave, namely Paul Mullin. It’s widely expected that Mullin will leave Wrexham this summer after failing to break into the side in the second half of last season.
Earlier in the summer, Wigan Athletic were linked with Mullin, though that link was later played down. But expect either a League One or League Two club to swoop in for the Dragons cult hero.
Wrexham will complete one marquee signing in midfield
Of all the players linked with Wrexham so far this summer, it’s in midfield where we’re seeing the most volume and the most amount of quality in terms of the names mentioned, with some top Premier League midfielders mentioned alongside moves to the Racecourse.
The latest name doing the rounds is Christian Eriksen. It’s been reported that Wrexham want to sign Eriksen on a free transfer this summer, though he’s not the only one with links to names like Tom Cairney, Tom Lawrence, and Lewis O’Brien to name a few.
Expect Parkinson to splash the cash on at least one big midfield signing this summer.
Wrexham will complete last-minute loan deals
Big-money signings and free agent signings could dominate the majority of the transfer window for Wrexham. But later on in the summer, expect to see the club compete to sign several players on loan, likely younger players from Premier League clubs.
Later in the summer when clubs higher up the pyramid have done their own transfer business, they’ll decide who is fit to be loaned out. In the final weeks of the summer transfer window then we could see some youngsters make their way to Wrexham for the 2025/26 season.

Phil Parkinson will be ruthless with Wrexham player sales
As is the case with Mullin, Wrexham are set to sell some players this summer. Parkinson needs to be smart with who he brings in but just as smart with who he lets go, in a bid to balance the books and balance the size and shape of his squad.
Expect names like Ollie Palmer and forgotten man Will Boyle to be up for sale. And depending on who Wrexham bring in, and how early on in the summer transfer window they bring them in, we could even see some of the more involved players sold if the price is right.
Wrexham will add plenty of Championship experience to their ranks
Already this summer, it’s been reported that Parkinson wants to sign players with Championship experience, which is evident in links to names like Cardiff City forward Callum Robinson, Danny Ward, and Harry Darling among others.
In both League Two and League One, Wrexham signed players with a track record in that league and it worked a treat. Expect more of the same this summer with Championship-proven players likely to dominate Wrexham’s transfer policy.
