Wrexham are expected to move on several more players during the 2025 summer transfer window.

The Red Dragons announced their retained list last month, with it confirmed that eight players are leaving at the end of their contracts in June.

Sam Dalby has now signed for Bolton Wanderers after he rejected a new deal from Wrexham back in January.

Long-time servants Steven Fletcher and Mark Howard have waved goodbye as well, but more stars are expected to depart.

Phil Parkinson has already said Wrexham players will leave this summer in order to make room for new signings in their 25-man Championship squad.

And he’s now named two players who could secure transfers in the coming months.

Phil Parkinson says Wrexham duo could be loaned in summer transfer window

When announcing which players would be leaving this summer, Wrexham also confirmed contract news for two stars.

The club have taken up an extension in Aaron James’ deal, while Callum Edwards was offered fresh terms.

James spent time out on loan in the second half of 2024/25 and, as per Leader Live, Parkinson has said both could be moved out on a temporary basis in the 2025 summer window.

He said: “Callum did well on loan with Bala and we reward the lads who go on loan and progress,” said the Reds’ boss.

“We are pleased with how Aaron did in a tough season for him.

“We are looking to see how they do in pre-season and maybe loaning them both out again.”

Aaron James will hope for better loan move

The centre-back shone in his limited EFL Trophy appearances for Wrexham in the first half of 2024/25.

James then joined Warrington Town on loan in the winter transfer window, but didn’t have the best time.

The 19-year-old made 17 appearances, scored one, and assisted one in the National League North.

But Warrington as a team struggled, winning just one of those 17 fixtures and suffering relegation.

James was used in a number of positions during his loan spell, featuring at centre-back, right-back, left-back, as a midfielder and on the right wing.
