With the football season now over for the Red Dragons, it’s time to look ahead to Welcome to Wrexham season 4 and all the celebrity cameos the show will bring this time around.

The Welcome to Wrexham season 4 release date is on the horizon, which means we get to relive all the thrilling action from the League One campaign over again.

Thanks to Wrexham’s promotion, we know the show will have a happy ending, but as always there are sure to be a few surprises in store.

While Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds will be the stars of the show again, there should be loads of famous faces joining them to bump up the Hollywood factor.

Here are all the potential Welcome to Wrexham season 4 celebrity cameos we expect this year.

Potential Welcome to Wrexham season 4 celebrity cameos

Channing Tatum

Ryan Reynolds and Channing Tatum have been friends for years thanks to their superhero connections, and the latter finally got the chance to play Gambit on the big screen in last year’s Marvel film, Deadpool & Wolverine.

Naturally, Tatum visited Wrexham around the time of filming that movie, but he’s not been a stranger at all since. In fact, Tatum admitted he wants to stay in Wrexham forever, and even filmed a Super Bowl advert with the Wrexham players ahead of this year’s big NFL clash.

Tom Brady

One of the big stories in League One this season has been Birmingham City’s dominance, and he Blues have a strong rivalry with Wrexham now, thanks to the celebrity status of the two clubs’ owners.

Tom Brady owns a stake in the league champions, and has popped over to England and Wales to watch a few games this season. Brady got a hostile reception from the Wrexham fans at St. Andrews, but he didn’t show up to the Racecourse Ground for the reverse fixture, sadly.

David Beckham

The former England and Manchester United legend has popped in to watch Wrexham a handful of times since Rob and Ryan took over, including an appearance at the FA Trophy final back in 2022.

Not only is he pals with Ryan Reynolds, but he was also a guest of honour when Birmingham played Wrexham at St. Andrews thanks to his friendship with Brady.

Beckham recently revealed he was inspired by Wrexham after he took his ownership of Salford City to new levels, so we could get some insight into that on the show.

Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria was at the Racecourse Ground for Wrexham’s opening game of the League One campaign, a 3-2 win against Wycombe Wanderers.

Turns out, Rob and Ryan invested in Club Necaxa, a Mexican football club of which Longoria is a part-owner. She spoke recently about the impact Rob and Ryan have had on football in the US, and we’d expect some mention of this in Welcome to Wrexham.

Billy Joe Armstrong

The Green Day frontman was spotted at the Racecourse Ground on December 14, 2024 alongside Ryan Reynolds, Channing Tatum, and actor Brendan Sklenar to watch the Red Dragons take on Cambridge United.

Armstrong popped into The Turf pub before the game, and even hinted Green Day could be set to perform at the Racecourse Ground in the near future.

Paul Rudd

The Ant-Man actor was there to watch Wrexham earn promotion from League Two at the end of last season, and while he hasn’t been back to watch a game since, there’s always a chance he could pop up for a Welcome to Wrexham season 4 cameo.

Rudd loves a little comedy skit, and that’s something Rob and Ryan always manage to sneak into the show, so we’re hoping they join forces this year.

Blake Lively and Kaitlin Olson

The most obvious of all the Welcome to Wrexham season 4 celebrity cameos will be Rob and Ryan’s wives, actresses Blake Lively and Kaitlin Olson.

Both have been far more present of late, with Lively sharing a great message after Wrexham’s promotion, and Olson has spoken about the Wrexham project more openly lately, praising Rob’s initial idea. They should both feature heavily in the latest season of the show.

Hugh Jackman

The Wolverine star has been to games before, including a brutal 5-3 defeat at the hands of MK Dons in League Two last year, but there’s a far bigger reason Hugh Jackman could appear in Welcome to Wrexham season 4.

Jackman is a huge Norwich City fan, which means he and his old friend Ryan Reynolds will be going head-to-head next season to further fuel their friendly rivalry. Surely, Jackman will make an appearance in season 4 to discuss the prospect of that upcoming clash.

Will Ferrell

Unfortunately, one rivalry we won’t see next season is Wrexham taking on Will Ferrell’s favourite club, Leeds United, after the Whites gained promotion. Still, at least that means the comedy legend can keep supporting Wrexham without any split loyalties.

He’s been present in every season of Welcome to Wrexham so far, and it would be odd if he didn’t show up again this year.
